TERMS & CONDITIONS
Last updated: 25 August 2026
1. Introduction
These terms and conditions apply to all orders and subscriptions placed with The Calorie Cook (“we”, “us”, “our”), a meal prep business based in Gelli, Rhondda, Wales. By placing an order or subscribing to a meal plan, you agree to these terms.
2. Orders & Payment
Orders can be placed online through our website, and can be paid by card via Stripe or, where offered, by cash on collection or delivery. Prices are shown in GBP and include VAT where applicable. We reserve the right to update menu prices at any time; the price shown at the time you place your order is the price you pay for that order.
Each week has an order cut-off day and time, shown at checkout and on our menu page. Orders placed after the cut-off will be included in the following week's delivery.
3. Subscriptions
Subscription plans are billed weekly via Stripe and renew automatically until paused or cancelled. You can pause, resume or cancel your subscription at any time from your account — there is no minimum commitment. Changes made after that week's cut-off will take effect from the following week.
4. Delivery & Collection
We offer local delivery in the Gelli, Rhondda and surrounding areas, and nationwide delivery via DPD. Delivery charges, where applicable, are shown at checkout. Please make sure your delivery address and contact details are correct — we are not responsible for non-delivery caused by incorrect address information.
5. Cancellations & Refunds
Orders can be amended or cancelled free of charge up until that week's cut-off. Once meals have entered production for the week, we're unable to offer a refund for a change of mind. If there's a problem with the quality or condition of your order, please contact us within 24 hours of delivery or collection and we'll put it right.
6. Allergens & Dietary Requirements
Full allergen information for every meal is provided in line with Natasha's Law — see our Allergen Information page for details. It is your responsibility to tell us about any allergies or intolerances when ordering. While we take reasonable care, our kitchen handles all 14 major allergens and we cannot guarantee any meal is completely free from traces of a particular allergen.
7. Liability
Meals are prepared in line with UK food hygiene standards. To the extent permitted by law, our liability to you is limited to the value of the order in question. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded under English and Welsh law.
8. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time to reflect changes to our service or the law. The “last updated” date at the top of this page shows when they were last revised. Continuing to order after a change means you accept the updated terms.
9. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
